Questions and answers
Find answers to the most common questions about our trainings, certifications and services for automotive professionals.
Trainings
Who can take L'Atelier Branché trainings?
Our trainings are designed for automotive professionals already on the job: mechanics, technicians, electromechanics and shop managers. These are upgrading courses, not entry-level programs. You should already master the basics of mechanics to get the most out of our programs.
Which types of vehicles do your trainings cover?
We cover the three main categories: combustion vehicles (gasoline and diesel), hybrids (mild, full and plug-in) and fully electric vehicles. Our shops are equipped with latest-generation diagnostic tools compatible with North American, European and Asian brands.
How long is a training?
Length depends on the level and complexity of the course. Our hands-on workshops usually last a full day, while advanced high-voltage modules can span 2 to 3 days. Each training page shows the length and detailed content.
Registration and pricing
How do I register for a training?
Register online from the training calendar: choose the training and the date, enter each participant's name, then pay by card — in full, or in equal monthly installments when the date allows. Your confirmation is emailed as soon as you pay. Seats are limited to guarantee personalized coaching.
Can I cancel or reschedule my registration?
Yes, you can reschedule free of charge up to 7 days before the training date. If you cancel at least 14 days in advance, you receive a full refund. For any last-minute change, call us at 450-890-8800 and we'll find a solution together.
How much do the trainings cost?
Prices vary with length and technical level: each date shows its exact price in our training calendar (taxes extra). Group rates and corporate packages are available for shops and dealerships: contact us.
Certification, safety and equipment
Are the trainings recognized or certifying?
All our trainings come with a certificate of competence signed by our centre. For high-voltage modules (hybrid and electric vehicles), our certification is recognized by several manufacturers and approved repair networks in Québec. We also work with approved continuing-education organizations.
Do the trainings include safety?
Absolutely. Safety is at the core of our electrified-vehicle trainings. Each module starts with a review of lockout procedures, high-voltage battery disconnection, personal protective equipment (PPE) and incident response protocols.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No, all the equipment you need is provided on site: lifts, certified high-voltage multimeters, diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes and specialized tools. Just bring your safety boots.
Shops, companies and store
What is an Atelier Branché certified shop?
A certified shop is a garage or repair centre that has taken our upgrading trainings and meets our quality standards for diagnosing electric and hybrid vehicles. Certified shops get ongoing technical support, priority access to our trainings and visibility on our partner shop map.
Do you offer on-site corporate training?
Yes, we offer custom programs for shops, dealerships and commercial fleets. Our trainers can come to your facility with the necessary training equipment. Contact us for a quote tailored to your needs.
Does the online store sell diagnostic tools?
Our store offers a selection of diagnostic tools, technical documentation, high-voltage safety equipment and parts specific to electrified vehicles, tested and approved by our instructors.
